libjdeb-java software package provides utility to construct Debian packages from Ant or Maven, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libjdeb-java
libjdeb-java is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libjdeb-java package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libjdeb-java *
You will get with libjdeb-java package name, version, architecture and description in a table
